“Experience is what you get when you didn’t get what you wanted. And experience is often the most valuable thing you have to offer.”
― Randy Pausch

This aspect of the project work is incredible since I’ve never been on a journey like this before. I never expected to miss this period so much. At Amal, the first two weeks of the fellowship were incredible and thrilling. So far, my learning adventure with Amal academy has taught me a lot of new things. When I was chosen. In this fellowship, I never expected to meet so many bright people. I had no clue how much I would learn from my time with the amal in the coming months when I first started. Let’s take a deeper look at everything I’ve learnt and experienced in my first two weeks at Amal Academy. I met my wonderful facilitators, a wonderful bunch of people, and my first learning group. It felt as if I had discovered a new family outside of my own, one that wanted to develop together. The first two to three weeks were crucial for me since they were when we figured out why we were here by figuring out our goals and the whys behind them. Another was Amal’s Principles and Amal Values, which have proven to be quite beneficial throughout my life. I also learnt about the unique idea of creating a “life Map” by connecting dots. I learnt about the sense of responsibility, humility, growth, acceptance, and honesty throughout the first week. We were instructed to create artwork that was connected to life incidents so that we could remember them when the fellowship will end.

My life map

Well throughout the first several weeks, I learned to practise the Act of Kindness. As it is our first obligation to treat all people with kindness. It is the Creator’s beautiful principle to live for others. I’ve learnt that our lives are so brief, and that we only have each other to rely on. The core goal of our lives and the sustainability is to live a life of immersion, to immerse ourselves in the lives of others.

Sometimes it takes only one act of kindness and caring to change a person’s life.” — Jackie Chan

We Felt, we Moved, we Hurt, we Laughed, we Spoke, we Fell, and we Rise! Thank you all for being a part of my world. I am going to miss my Amal Family so much!
